I know that I've heard it many times in reference to my bad singing around the house. ![]() Although a dog's learning and verbal capacity is an average of 400 words, their ability to hear is four times sharper than humans. They are better at hearing at high pitch sounds. This explains why my dog looks at me confused when I try and sing along to some of the radio hits while cleaning the house.
Not all dogs reply vocally when they hear something either from another dog or from their master. A physical acknowledgement is when their ears are perked or their head is raised.
