Choosing Phones
PBXtra supports most standard analog phones and select IP phones including models from Aastra, Polycom, and Cisco. Each of these IP phones have been fully tested and qualified by PhoneSource to operate with the PBXtra platform. In order to ensure interoperability, PhoneSource certifies and supports only specific combinations of third party hardware and firmware. Some non-supported features on standard analog or IP phones may not work, even though they are present on the device as shipped from the original manufacturer. Please check with us to ensure that you are utilizing the correct firmware and features.
1. IP Phones
With the large number of IP Phones available, Phonesource has carefully selected those that are tested and qualified to work with our system. If you do not see your desired phone below, contact our sales department about the phone you wish to use. We often qualify new phones based on customer requests!

2. Analogue Phones
To utilize an analog phone with your PBXtra, your server must have an appropriate Base Expansion Card installed and properly configured. Note that not all features found on analog phones will work. Each Base Expansion Card can support two or more Analog Phone Ports up to a maximum of 12 ports using on-board expansion cards, and each port-pair must be purchased separately. Our Multi-port Base Cards start at $335 including the first two ports. Additional port pairs are priced starting at $190. For example, to use PBXtra with four analog phones, your cost would be:
One Base Expansion Card including 2 Phone Ports ($335) + an additional 2 Phone Port module ($190) = $525.
Optional Hardware Based Echo Cancellation would be an additional $300 per base Card
